The Workout web series is more like a short film showing how a woman and her gym trainer fall in love. The story starts with a light shot of Ruby Ahmad in the morning as she wakes up to the news that the whole school is on lockdown.

She did what suggested and hired Sahil, a personal trainer she found online. Director Pujit Jakhadia made sure that all of the love scenes were shot in a beautiful way so that people might think they seeing something new. Even though the idea has used in many web series, movies, and short films, he had some success with it because most of the scenes look great and interesting.
In the end, after a lot of touching and teasing, there is a big showdown. Ruby Ahmad helps her trainer do crunches right at the start of the scene. In one case, they kissed when their faces were only centimeters apart.
