As Kelly Thiebaud finishes her current run on GENERAL HOSPITAL and prepares to exit the show this autumn, fans will once again have to say their goodbyes to Britt. On Instagram, she expressed her enthusiasm by writing, “Excited to be back on STATION 19 stirring up havoc!”
According to Deadline, Thiebaud will leave General Hospital in November to prepare for her next role as Eva Vasquez on the primetime drama STATION 19, which will air on ABC. Eva is the widow of Rigo Vasquez, a firefighter who served at Station 19, and during Thiebaud’s prior visits on the show, Eva had a torrid affair with Jack, one of her late husband’s coworkers. Rigo died in the line of duty. This, of course, resulted in a great deal of drama, and she will return in season six to create even more mayhem. Thiebaud made her debut at General Hospital in September 2012, playing the role of the conniving and haughty Dr Britt Westbourne. She promptly offered a contract with the serial opera after her debut. However, by November of that same year, it rumoured that she had demoted to recurring status. Her final appearance on the show was in December of that same year. However, she continued to make cameos in 2017, 2018, and 2020 until returning to a more consistent role in September 2020. Since Terry and Britt share the role of co-chief of staff at General Hospital at the moment, this may indicate that Terry will take over the position altogether, or it may mean that Terry will replaced by another someone entirely. More crucially, this suggests that Cody’s pursuit of Britt will have to halt due to what has transpired abruptly. There is a good chance that Cody and some of the viewers will dissatisfied with the outcome. Britt probably won’t mind too much.
