Rolly Crump, an American animator and designer well known for his work as a Disney Imagineer and who contributed to creating It’s A Small World, unfortunately, passed away at 93. He had been an animator before designing amusement parks. Rolly Crump, receiving palliative care, sadly passed away on March 12, 2023, at home in Carlsbad. His son Christopher was informed of his passing. Since the artist’s passing was announced online, his friends and coworkers have paid homage to him and sent their sincere condolences to the family members who are now experiencing a difficult time. Crump’s family said in a statement that Rolly and his family would like to thank the fans for supporting his efforts over the years. He will be remembered with a lot of affection because his entire life was one “kind of a cute story” after another. He was a family guy who was always there for them and by their side in times of need, in addition to being an artist.

On February 27, 1930, in Alhambra, California, USA, as Roland Fargo “Rolly” Crump. In 1952, he joined the Walt Disney Studios. He first worked in inbetweening before transitioning to associate animator on films like Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. The Haunted Mansion, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Adventureland Bazaar are just a few of the Disneyland attractions and stores that he went on to create.
In addition, he was in charge of creating many Disney attractions at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, including It’s a Small World and its Tower of the Four Winds marquee. Team members and coworkers who worked with him throughout his tenure will always value his contribution to the project. Eventually, he left Disney, and in 2012, “It’s Kind of a Cute Story,” his autobiography, was released. Sadly, Rolly Crump passed away after realizing all of his dreams. His family will always recall him.
